PHOTOGRAPHIC INTERVENTION
2013

I always had the memory of a portrait of my grandfather which my grandmother broke in pieces after an argument, and that is kept by my mother.

It was a different era, memories and photographs worked in another way, but now we still get rid of everything once a relationship ends. Now, in the digital age, is not as often as before, because the most common action is to send some files to the bin and empty the trash.

The ritual of break, rip and skew an image, destroy it to remove the link completely, and liberate in a physical way the emotions hidden in the inside, are not many, nowadays. [deletia] recovers the lost ritual, and through images and different manipulations, notices what happens with couples' memories when they broke up.
